Who we are

I’m Ves, the creator and host of this evolving space where life, transformation, and meaningful conversations come together. Growing up in a small town and connected to my Native American community. I’ve learned that our stories-shaped by family, faith, culture and experience-are powerful. We all have something to offer. Through this podcast, blog and platform I hope to see people reach their potential through connected avenues of growth.

The Journey Project is just that - a project. It’s not set in stone, but something that will grow and transform as we do. Life is a journey, and no two paths are the same. Faith and family have been my anchors throughout life, and remain at the heart of what I do. I am also passionate about land, plants, crops, air and water. I grew up with an elder who instilled into me the importance of taking care of the land so it would take care of us. I want to do my part by being a good steward of the land by plugging in to areas to cultivate and protect the land we all enjoy.
Early on in life I had the opportunity to meet individuals who not only talked about transformation in their communities or cities but also had the gift to do just that. Their drive and passion impacted me to explore what that could look like for my area. In 2020 I began to see the need to diversify and try new things. I discovered that my not so "green thumb" could actually keep plants alive. During that time I began to look differently at the world and even my own dependence on what is readily available. My family and I began to make small changes in our own food sustainability and we are still evolving in that area. We now have a little flock of chickens, 2 goats, 2 dogs and 1 very entitled feline! It is my goal to explore further opportunities to fuel transformative success in areas of self growth and food sustainability.

Whether you grew up in a big city or a small town like me, there’s something here for you. I hope the content shared here will inspire you to reflect, grow, and connect with your own journey. Let’s explore what it means to live authentically by embracing our differences and unique experiences. Let's journey together to embark, transform and evolve.
